As China's environmental protection laws become more and more comprehensive and people's awareness of their own health increases, environmentally-friendly adhesives with good quality, no pollution, and conformity with international standards are gradually becoming mainstream products for synthetic adhesives.
I. Upcoming species
1, polyvinyl alcohol formaldehyde adhesive
Polyvinyl alcohol formaldehyde adhesive (107 glue) is mainly used for construction decoration. The adhesive has long been banned in developed countries because it contains free formaldehyde and damages human health. In China, this product is still relatively large due to its low price. With the increase of environmental protection awareness of consumers and the increased enforcement of relevant departments, the amount of 107 glue will decrease year by year, and it is believed that it will be eliminated in the near future.
2, neoprene adhesive
Neoprene is a traditional bulk adhesive in China. It is commonly known as all-purpose adhesive and is mainly used in shoemaking, decoration and wood processing industries. Neoprene contains a large amount of toxic organic solvents, and it is not suitable for the development needs of the footwear industry when it is used in soft PVC thermoplastic elastomers, polyurethanes and other new footwear materials. In developed countries, shoe adhesives have used safer polyester and hot melt adhesives. In recent years, as China's efforts to implement environmental protection laws have continued to increase, the amount of neoprene adhesives has been declining year by year. In 2002, production fell by 16.8% from 2001.
Second, the wide variety of prospects
1, water-based plastic
Water-based glue contains no organic solvents and no pollution. It is an environmentally friendly adhesive product. In recent years, water-based rubber has developed rapidly in China, with an average annual growth rate of 18.4%, which is one of the fastest-growing plastics. With the increase in output, the quality of products has also been continuously improved and the variety has increased. Some adhesives with high technical content and good performance continue to emerge, such as emulsions with good cold and water resistance, scrub resistance, pollution resistance, and good water resistance, such as organic modified acrylic architectural emulsions. At present, in addition to the commonly used acrylic, polyvinyl acetate and VAE emulsions, research and development of polyurethane emulsions have also made progress and will have very good prospects for development.
2, hot melt adhesive and hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive heat
Melt-free glue, rapid curing, wide bonding surface, suitable for continuous production, easy storage and transportation. The product has developed rapidly in recent years, with an average annual growth rate of 30.1%, which is the fastest growing variety in China. In developed countries, hot melt adhesives (including hot melt pressure sensitive adhesives) have accounted for more than 20% of the total amount of synthetic adhesives, while China accounted for only 3%.
3, polyurethane adhesive
Polyurethane adhesives are widely used in the fields of footwear, construction, and automobiles. Due to their excellent performance, they are considered to be one of the most promising types of rubber in the country. In developed countries, shoe-making enterprises use polyurethane adhesives, and construction sealants mainly use silicone and polyurethane adhesives. In addition, polyurethane adhesives are also used in food packaging and tapes, which have a wide range of uses.
4, silicone adhesive
Silicone adhesives are used in large quantities in developed countries. Silicone sealant is the largest type of adhesive, accounting for about 30% of the total consumption of sealants. China's use of silicone adhesives is less, but it has grown rapidly in recent years and is expected to be 5 During the year, the silicone sealant will become the dominant rubber species for construction sealants in China.
Third, the urgent need to improve the variety
The production of urea-formaldehyde rubber in China is mainly produced in the wood processing plant for its own use, with poor professional production and low technical level. The amount of formaldehyde released from the product is generally 4 to 5 times higher than the international standard, which is a great threat to human health. At present, China is in the process of formulating national standards that are in line with international standards and has been implemented in some key enterprises. There are a few manufacturing enterprises, especially the urea-formaldehyde free formaldehyde content produced by "three-funded" enterprises has dropped below 0.1%. The powdery urea formaldehyde resin production equipment imported from Germany by Shandong Heli Huagong Co., Ltd. and Jilin Tonghua Forestry Chemical Plant has been put into trial production. The formaldehyde emission of the products can reach the international EI level standard, and the product quality has the international advanced level. The development of the processing industry provided raw material guarantees. According to expert analysis, during the "10th Five-Year Plan" period, urea-formaldehyde rubber that meets international standards will become the leading product. |
